PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Disaster Services Technology (DST) is the foundation of field operations. Disaster Services Technology workers deploy laptops, phones, printers and networking equipment among highly skilled volunteers to establish voice and data connectivity in disaster areas to ensure critical operations communications and worker coordination. Supports the development of Disaster Services Technology Communication teams, regionally.
OPEN TIME DAYS
Requires of a commitment of up to 12 hours monthly to support Territory Leadership & team development. This may include meetings, training & exercises. Operational response may require a commitment of 1-3 weeks (up to 12-hour shifts).
- Disaster Cycle Services: An Overview
- DST Overview Workshop
- Disaster Frontline Supervisor (including Simulation)
- On the job Activity mentoring in each task.
