Make Learning Fun and Exciting for Youth!

ORGANIZATION: Boys and Girls Clubs of Northwest Indiana

In America today, one fifth of all high school students will either not graduate on time, or will drop out of school completely. 66% of 4th graders do not read at the appropriate grade-level and over 50% of 4th graders lack proficiency in math. You can help this problem by assisting in the Boys & Girls Clubs Learning Centers and giving a child a fun educational experience that will spark a love of learning in them.

Boys & Girls Clubs' Learning Centers are looking for dedicated volunteers that can tutor our members, provide homework help, teach our members computer skills, read to our members, run science experiments, and much more. If you have a passion for education, then share your love with our youth!

We ask that volunteers commit to volunteering a minimum of 2 hours a week for 3 months to be able to form a strong connection with the youth. All volunteers must be able to pass a background check before working with our organization. For any questions or for more information, please contact our volunteer coordinator Brad Matthews by phone at (219)-881-1060, ext. 412, or through email at volunteers@bgcnwi.org
