ORGANIZATION: Boys and Girls Clubs of Northwest Indiana

A third of all youth in America today are either overweight or obese, and many more don't get enough physical activity during the week to keep them them health. You can help our members stay in shape and develop a love of physical activity! Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Indiana is looking for dedicated volunteers to help out with our sports and fitness activities, such as playing basketball, soccer, kickball, volleyball, or any other fun athletic activity that will keep our members healthy and active

Volunteers are expected to come in for a minimum of 2-3 hours a week and must be able to pass a background check. Anyone interested in this position can contact our volunteer coordinator Brad Matthews by phone at 219-881-1060, ext. 412, or through email at volunteers@bgcnwi.org

Every child deserves the opportunity to be successful. At Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Indiana (BGCNWI), our mission is to inspire and empower all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. Currently operating six Clubs in Lake County, BGCNWI has been offering hope and opportunity to local youth since 1954 by providing a safe place for kids to learn and grow through life enhancing after-school and summer programming in five core areas: character & leadership development; educational & career development; health & life skills; the arts; and sports & fitness. With the support of highly trained professional staff and adult mentors, BGCNWI helps build great futures by offering fun, engaging and impactful programs to nearly 10,000 youth ages 6 to 18. When schools are out, Clubs are in!
