Volunteer at the Dallas Habitat ReStores!
Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used name brand items like furniture, appliances, flooring, cabinetry, tiles, home renovation items, building materials and more to the public at a fraction of the retail price.
One hundred percent of the profits from our ReStores go to support our mission of building homes, communities and hope.
Volunteers assist ReStore staff in all aspects of retail operations, including pricing items, setting up/moving displays, assisting customers, cleaning/straightening shelves and display racks, sorting donations, and assisting with inventory control.
COVID-19 Safety Precautions:
- Masks are required
- Practice SOCIAL DISTANCING.
- Please cancel your registration if you or anyone in your household develops COVID-19 symptoms or is exposed to someone who may have COVID-19, in the 14 days prior to your volunteer shift.
Refreshments:
- Water is provided but a water bottle is suggested.
What to wear:
- Comfortable clothing which you don’t mind getting dirty.
- Tennis shoes or other sturdy close-toed shoes. NO sandals or flip-flops.
What to bring:
- Dallas Habitat for Humanity has first-aid kits located on the build site but volunteers are responsible for bringing personal items (For example: Epipen).
ReStore age restrictions
Under 14: not allowed
14-15: must have one adult for every 5 youth
16 +: allowed alone
