Do you love to use your native language to help English Language Learners?

Do you like to make a difference in the lives of those wanting to better themselves?

Community Action's Early Head Start program is looking for Volunteer Interpreters to assist staff and participants at our Parent Committee Meetings. We have an interest in those volunteers who are bi-lingual in English; Spanish, Arabic, Burmese, Bosnian, Kurdish, and Karen.

Our Parent Committee meetings allow the parents in the Early Head Start program to plan their socialization's, workshops, and elect parents to the governing body; EHS/HS Policy Council. This time also allows parents to have time to socialize and learn from other parents.
These meetings take place once a month, usually on the 2nd or 3rd Tuesday of the month from 4:00-5:30p.m. You can volunteer as much as your schedule allows.

Please contact Georgann Roth if your interested. I can email you an easy online application to start the process.
