Mass Audubon is partnering with Appalachian Mountain Club to host a series of evening Climate Change Programs, and we are looking for 2-3 volunteers who are interested in the topic to assist with on-site logistics, including:
- Setting up chairs and tables
- Putting out refreshments
- Greeting participants at the door
- Breaking down tables/chairs and tidying up at the end of the evening
All programs will be held at the AMC Boston Office on Tuesday evenings:
- September 15 -- "Chasing Ice" (a film)
- October 20 -- The Power Hour, Mass Energy
- November 17 -- Cooler Smarter, Union of Concerned Scientists
- December 8 -- Climate Change Impacts in the Northeast, Mass Audubon Society
You can sign up to assist with one or more programs, depending on your availability, but please commit to being there from 6:30 PM until 9:00 PM.
This is a great opportunityi to learn more about various aspects of climate change and hear from experts in the field. Volunteers can attend the presentations and participate in the Q&A sessions.
The AMC Boston Office is located at 4 Joy Street on Beacon Hill, just across from the Public Garden and public parking. The closest T station is Park Street.
To volunteer for this event, please indicate which date(s) you are available.

Mission Statement
To protect the nature of Massachusetts for people and wildlife
Description
Mass Audubon works to protect the nature of Massachusetts for people and wildlife. Together with more than 100,000 members, we care for 35,000 acres of conservation land, provide school, camp, and other educational programs for 225,000 children and adults annually, and advocate for sound environmental policies at local, state, and federal levels. Founded in 1896 by two inspirational women who were committed to the protection of birds, Mass Audubon is now one of the largest and most prominent conservation organizations in New England. Today we are respected for our sound science, successful advocacy, and innovative approaches to connecting people and nature. Each year, our statewide network of wildlife sanctuaries welcomes nearly half a million visitors of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds and serves as the base for our work.
