The Geek Group is a makerspace focused on Science, Technology & Arts based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. We are a place for anybody to come and build their dreams - big or small. To that end, we collect tools and machinery to make the process as easy as possible and provide access to equipment otherwise difficult to obtain.
It is not important to us that you are a proffessional in any particular area, just that you have a lot of passion and general competency in some areas. We are seeking volunteers who have skills in any of several areas:
- Machining
- CNC Machining
- CNC Programming
- Electronics
- Prototyping
- Woodworking
- Computer Sciences
- Robotics
- Printing & Printmaking
- Sewing
We are also looking for people with small amounts of knowledge in any of these areas who love to learn and are willing to learn as they go!
In exchange for consistent volunteering with us, we would offer you membership at The Geek Group to build your dreams.
