Zeno is seeking volunteers to join our planning committee for our annual fundraising dinner, Make a Move for Math. The event includes a cocktail hour, dinner, and live auction. We’re in need of enthusiastic volunteers to help us in the following key areas:
- Décor and Mission Moments that tie-in to event theme
- In-kind donation procurement & outreach, including:
- Procurement of wine to be donated for the event
- Procurement of experiences and other in-kind donations for the live auction
- Planning logistics of pre-event reception/cocktail hour
- Design of Printed Program/Auction Book
- Troubleshooting details for day-of logistics
Committee Details:
- Meet 4 times as a full group (Sept, Oct, Jan & Feb - 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Zeno office)
- Exact dates to be determined at first committee meeting
- Volunteer for (or attend!) the event
- As-needed calls with Volunteer Committee leader, Zeno staff, and other volunteers to check in on tasks
- Time commitment will be a minimum of 5- 10 hours per month

Mission Statement
Out mission is to build a positive math culture by creating confidence and excitement for math in children through age 11, offering programs that develop skills through play, and involving the entire community including teachers, families, out of school care providers and community members.

Our programs encourage students to explore, question and experience math by using games, hands-on activities, group projects and technology to further establish math skills and concepts.
Goals
Our goals are specific:
- Create confidence and excitement for math in young children.
- Start early in the educational lives of children.
- Involve the entire school community, including teachers and parents.
- Create high quality programs that adhere to state and national educational standards.
- Work inside and outside of the classroom
- Offer a variety of fun and interesting out-of-class activities.
- Create confident teachers of mathematics
- Build programs that can be sustained within a school over the long term.
