College Track Summit 54

The Student Life Workshop Driver/Facilitator is responsible for driving students to and from service workshops on Tuesdays (3:30 - 5:30pm) and Thursdays (4:00 - 7:00pm), and facilitating meaningful conversations around the personal impact and learning from the day’s work. On Tuesdays, through the help of Reading Partners, students work with elementary school students to help them become grade-level proficient at reading. On Thursdays, students volunteer at Cisco’s Den, a dog shelter and rescue. From walking and feeding dogs, to filing paperwork, students help with any of Cisco’s Den’s daily needs.

About College Track

Location:

16950 E. Iliff Ave #F4, Aurora, CO 80013, US

Mission Statement

In this country, there exists a persistent gap between the academic achievements of low income, predominantly African American and Latino students and their high income, white peers. If we don’t focus on getting these students graduated from high school, with a clear pathway to higher education, this gap will widen, leaving historically underserved communities in worse shape than they are now.

College Track is an after-school, college access program that empowers students to achieve the dream of a college education. Our ultimate goal is to transform low-income communities into places where college readiness and college graduation are the norms.

Description

College Track is an after school college access program that helps motivated low-income high school students who have the desire but lack the resources and support to attain higher education. Through four years of tutoring, workshops and activities to develop youth, we get our students successfully through high school, into college and on track for college graduation.
