The LAX/El Segundo Dunes is the largest dune complex in Southern California and home to hundreds of species many only found in the area. Volunteers are needed to remove invasive plants that crowd out native species. Through community efforts, plants and wildlife are returning to the area but much work is still needed.
This is a unique opportunity as the site is normally closed to the public. Tools and a limited number of gloves will be available, so please bring your favorite gardening gloves. Water and snacks area provided.
