Take a minute to say "Food, Whaaaaat?!" out loud! Did you get that energized, excited, powerful feeling? That's how the youth we serve feel in our programs, how our volunteers feel about our mission, and it's how we want people to feel when they see our flyers and brochure!
1) We've got great stories and data to share and need your help translating that into a FoodWhat one or two-page brochure/hand-out.
2) FoodWhat youth in our Fall Project Management program gain job and leadership skills by co-leading several farm-based businesses like a catering service and weekly flower bouquet delivery service. We're looking for someone to help us design an awesome flyer that we can distribute to publicize those services for local businesses and residents.
Do you have graphic design, adobe illustrator/photoshop/indesign skills, and want to support teens in their personal growth? Then this is the volunteer opportunity for you. A few hours of your time could make a big difference. Please contact us for more info, and thanks for checking out FoodWhat!

About FoodWhat
Location:

Mission Statement
"Food, What?!" is a youth empowerment and food justice organization using food, through sustainable agriculture and health, as the vehicle for growing strong, healthy, resilient teens.
Description
We partner with low-income and struggling youth in Santa Cruz County to grow, cook, eat, and distribute sustainably raised food and address food justice issues in our community. Youth join the FoodWhat crew through Spring Internships, Summer Jobs, Fall Project Management positions, and big community events at the FoodWhat farm on the UC Santa Cruz campus. We create a safe space where youth engage in leadership development, personal growth and job training. At FoodWhat, we inspire personal transformation by supporting teens in finding their voices and developing lasting confidence in themselves. FoodWhat is fiscally sponsored by 501c3 nonprofit Life Lab Science Program.
