Volunteer at the San Luis Obispo Heart & Stroke Walk/Run!
Saturday, September 12, 2015
shifts between 6:30am and 12:00pm
at the Avila Beach Promenade
The American Heart Association is currently looking for volunteers to help out at the Heart & Stroke Walk/Run with a variety of tasks, including:
Morning Setup including helping to unload & set up the event
Preparing the Walk Route including signage & booth setup
Activities in the health fair area, welcome walkers, work the food tent
Cheer Walkers On as they complete the route
Help Clean Up after the event and load up supplies into vans
Hydration Station Monitors to help our stay hydrated
And many other opportunities!
The event will include:
a non-competitive 5K walk/run, refreshments, music, and more!
Proceeds from the walk will benefit community education
and life-saving research, and we can’t do it without your help!
