Now Recruiting Adult and High School Volunteers!
As the new school year gets underway, there’s always greater demand than we can meet! Pacifica School Volunteers (PSV) is looking for high-school, college-age, retired, folks between jobs, and members of the community at large to join us as a Volunteer in our schools to support students’ education. We provide orientation, and ask for 1-2 hours a week. Please see our website, pacificaschoolvolunteers.org, or call 650.355.9432
Why not share some time and your knowledge with a student? Pacifica School Volunteers recruits, trains and places local members of the community to help out at our local public schools at all levels. Every week, Volunteers just like you spend 1-2 hours of their time supporting education. Struggling students find a mentor in you. Many more students find a leader in you.
Do you know that currently one third of our students struggle to read at grade level standard? Basic areas like literacy and math need our attention. Other subject areas deserve our help. Want to join our team?

Mission Statement
The mission of Pacifica School Volunteers is to support and enrich the education and well-being of children in Pacifica's public schools. The goal of the organization is to screen, recruit, train, and place volunteers in the schools, and strengthen ties between families, community, business and the schools.
Description
Working with children one-on-one or in small groups in a classroom setting to help students reach grade-level standard for literacy and math. Our volunteers support children in Pacifica's public schools and encourage their efforts so that students succeed in school and stay in school.
