Day of Caring

Day of Caring, United Way's annual community wide service project, is being held on Saturday, September 12th. The superhero themed kickoff begins at 8am at the Cove Church in Mooresville where volunteers will sign in and receive their t-shirt and project assignment. The kickoff also includes a continental breakfast, live radio with 107.9 The Link, hip hop warm ups with Lem Houston, pictures with superheroes, and other activities. Afterwards, all volunteers will disperse to their designated service project and work from 9 to 12. Examples of some projects are working with non-profit agencies, landscaping schools, cleaning parks, etc. These projects are scattered across Mooresville, Davidson, Cornelius, Statesville, Huntersville, and Troutman. Those who register as team will stay in their group when placed with a project. Many projects are child friendly. You do NOT have to have the skills listed in order to complete the projects. To volunteer and for more information please call 704-664-2284. Be a hero in your community!
