Celebrate National Public Lands Day with the Northern Virginia Conservation Trust and Virginia DCR! National Public Lands Day is the nation’s largest single-day volunteer effort for America’s public lands.
Join us for a clean up of one of the newly opened Crow's Nest Canoe and Kayak Launch! The event will take place at the along the boat launch access trail and will run from noon to 2pm. Volunteers will be picking up litter and assisting with trail work.
Please wear clothes that can get dirty- pants, long sleeves, and boots. And bring a water bottle with you. Bags, tools, and gloves will be provided for you.

The Northern Virginia Conservation Trust (NVCT) saves nearby nature by encouraging and assisting governments and private landowners to preserve and care for natural areas, trails, streams, parks and historic and cultural resources for the benefit of current and future generations.
Description
NVCT is an award-winning charity that saves nearby nature by helping local governments and private landowners voluntarily preserve natural areas, trails, streams and parks. Founded in 1994, NVCT has preserved nearly 5800 acres in Northern Virginia. NVCT currently holds 101 conservation easements and owns 20 properties.
We work hard to preserve land for our community, but we can't do it without your help! Do your part by volunteeting your time to help us stop the invasion of non-native, invasive plants, plant trees, restore parks, trails, and waterways, and much more!
