The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) will have its Boerne Area Lock Up on September 24, 2015 where business leaders and city officials will be sentenced to "hard jail time" for having a big heart. At this event, volunteers will be needed to act as a judge, assist the "jailbirds" with pledge slips, take and print photos, and/or make phone calls to "jailbirds" to confirm their pick up time. The proceeds from these lock up events are geared to unlocking a cure for the muscle diseases MDA covers and sending children ages 6 - 17 to our MDA Summer Camp.

MDA is the nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research. The Association also provides comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education.
Description
MDA's local San Antonio office serves the community with a variety of programs such as: lock-ups, Fill The Boot (firefighters), mobile programs, Muscle Walk, summer camp, and bowl-a-thons to name a few. MDA also holds weekly clinics and support groups.
