The Multilingual & Multicultural Center of Portland Public Schools will be having our annual Back to School event on Saturday, September 12th from 1-4pm at the East End School Community Center, 195 North Street in Portland. This event is to show Portland Public Schools’ multilingual families that they are supported in the schools and in their community.
We are in need of volunteers to help with translation and interpretation in Arabic, French, Somali, and Spanish. Activities include reading written forms and documents to families, and helping to address questions.

Description
Portland Public Schools' Multilingual & Multicultural Center provides support for multilingual students and families through registration assistance for new students, language access for families who need translation and interpretation services, parent orientation sessions for new arrivals to the United States, parent workshop sessions, Parent University, and Make It Happen! - a college readiness program for multilingual students.
