Recent rains have created flooding and even a loss of a business. Sandbags are available for Polk residents at various Fire Stations; however, some of Polk's frail and elderly are not able to leave their homes and get sand bags.
We are looking to identify Sandbag Delivery Teams comprised of teams of two adults, ages 18 and older who are willing to deliver and help place sandbags at the homes of those who can not do for themselves. This is a great project to do with a family member or buddy.
Sandbags will need to be filled at the Mulberry Fire Station. Deliveries would be made based on an as-needed basis and depending on availability of Delivery Team.
