Keep Lee County Beautiful is Lee County’s leading nonprofit that brings people together to build and sustain vibrant communities. With a network of individuals, businesses, civic, environmental and governmental organizations, we work with thousands of volunteers to take action in their communities. Keep Lee County Beautiful offers solutions that create clean, beautiful public places, reduce waste and increase recycling, generate positive impact on local economies and inspire generations of environmental stewards. Through our programs and public-private partnerships, we engage individuals to take greater responsibility for improving their community’s environment.
Job Description:
- Manage social media accounts a minimum of 3 times/week
- Create Twitter account
- Convert online community into leads & clients
- Track social media analytics using software and reporting tools
- Report results and develop new ideas
- Create compelling content that will be shared
- Other general duties as prescribed by the manager
Commitment: 4 hours/week for 3-6 months
Compensation: This is a no-paid internship
Requirements:
- Have an interest in communications, social media and the environment
- Stay up to date on social networking trends and the web
- Possess Microsoft Office, computer and internet skills
- Have relevant coursework in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations and/or Business; relevant experience also considered
- Be meticulous in their work
- Possess top notch organizational skills
- Possess a positive attitude
- Be a strong multi-tasker

Description
The Keep Lee County Beautiful organization was established at the directrion of concerned community leaders from the public and private sector. KLCB was certified by its parent organization, Keep America Beautiful, Inc., and was granted a non-profit status as an environmental corporation in February 1990. It is responsible for coordinating and implementing a countywide litter education and prevention program involving the business community, local governments, organizations and individuals.
