Are you interested in helping tear down a set for a theatrical production? Tantallon Community Players in Fort Washington, MD is currently seeking volunteers to assist with the set strike for Company.

Volunteer assignments could lifting and moving set materials, unscrewing platforms and flats, and helping to place items in a storage unit. Volunteers will use itmes like hammers, electric screwdrivers and dollies.

Previous building experience is not necessary. Volunteers at all levels are welcomed ages 13 and older. Looking for team players with can-do attitudes. Parents or guardians will need to sign in children.

Sunday, Oct. 11: 15 volunteers needed to strike (remove) set, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

This is a great way to learn about theater and volunteer in your community. Eligible students will earn community service hours.

Corporate and organization volunteer groups welcomed.

There are also usher opportunities available for shows.

Description

Tantallon Community Players (TCP), a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization, was founded in 1982 to increase community awareness of the theater in Southern Maryland, through performance opportunities and workshops. To this end, it has helped foster hundreds of individuals with a sense of community and a creative experience that for some has become a lifelong interest in theater.
