We are looking for volunteers to help create a friendlier, more attentive atmosphere in the dining room at Sloan's Lake Rehabilitation. The elderly patients at our facility love having new faces around, and volunteering in the dining room is a great way to get to know lots of people! As a dining room volunteer, you would commit to one lunch or dinner per week (11:45-1pm, or 4:45-6pm), greet people as they came into the beautiful dining room, get drinks, help serve plates, and clear dishes when patients are done. But the most important thing is to talk, talk, talk! This is a great position for high school students, college students, families, or anyone else who wants to bring some sunshine to a senior's day! You can complete the application, orientation and training online, and be volunteering within several days! An important note: your first volunteer shift in the dining room must happen during a lunch sometime M-F. This is so you can work alongside our wonderful activities director, and she can show you what to do. After this first volunteer visit, you can choose to come in for lunches or dinners, any day of the week. Please let me know if you're interested!

Description
We are a new, 45-bed rehabilitation center on the shores of Sloan's Lake in Denver. We look forward to bringing in volunteers to help our residents have a more pleasant stay while they're with us.
