Yulefest is the annual Nordic Christmas celebration at the Nordic Heritage Museum. Vendors sell hand-crafted wares, and traditional Scandinavian Christmas food and drinks are sold. There is music and dancing, plus a visit from Santa, a raffle with fantastic prizes and a Silent Auction. Yulefest is a 38-year strong tradition in Ballard, and this year’s will be bigger and better than ever!

Mission Statement
The Nordic Museum is an internationally recognized museum and cultural center where people of all backgrounds are welcomed to be inspired by the values, traditions, art, and spirit of the Nordic peoples.
Description
The Nordic Museum, now located in the heart of the historic Ballard neighborhood, is re-opening it's doors to the public in May 2018. Enthusiastic members and volunteers have transformed this historic structure into a museum, cultural center and meeting place for the Nordic community that links the past, present and future. The Museum is the largest ethnic museum in the Pacific Northwest and the only museum in North America to equally represent the peoples of all Nordic countries. Our calendar is filled with daily activities reflecting the rich legacy of Scandinavian traditions and influences in our community. In exchange for your support we promise you a tremendously rewarding and engaging experience. When you become a volunteer, you will become a partner in the effort to preserve a peoples heritage, perhaps your own!
