Northwest Harvest provides food to more than 370 food banks and hot meal programs across the state. We're opening on three special Tuesdays in September just for groups in order to get a few extra projects done before our busy holiday season gets underway. Do you have a group that can help us?
Groups between 7 volunteers and 90 volunteers needed. We've had a great response to our other two Tuesdays, but we have one date left in need of volunteers!
- Tuesday, September 29: 10am - 12pm or 1pm - 3pm
Tuesday projects will include:
- Packing Three Squares weekend meals for kids struggling with hunger.
- Sorting and packing fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables.
- Taking bulk food (like oats or beans) and converting it to family-sized portions for food banks all over the state.
Can you organize a group of at least 7 volunteers to help us? You'll be amazed at how much you can accomplish in just a 2 hour shift!
Our minimum age is 9 years old or third grade. No experience necessary! Go to www.northwestharvest.org to get more information and to fill out an application. Thank you for considering helping us in our fight against hunger!

Description
Northwest Harvest collects and distributes food to more than 375 independent food banks, hot meal programs, and high need schools across Washington State without proof of need. We provide over 2 million meals every month to individuals and families in need. We also run one food bank of our own, the Cherry Street Food Bank in Seattle.
