Description
Volunteers go in teams of two to deliver pet food. Each delivery route goes to 6-9 different homes delivering boxes of dog food, cat food, cat litter, and other supplies for dogs and cats. Pet food delivery is done each Saturday from 10-12:30 (approx. - depending on locations of deliveries). Volunteers commit to one Saturday per month on a regular schedule (e.g. the 3rd Saturday of each month).
One person drives, and the other person accompanies the driver and runs the boxes of food into the clients' homes. Volunteers who do not have cars can be paired with volunteers who do. This is also an ideal volunteer opportunity for couples or friends who would like to volunteer together.
Skills
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Delivery drivers must have a car, valid Driver's License and current auto insurance. Volunteers without a car can still go as the rider.
