ORGANIZATION: Hagley Museum and Library

Revel in Hagley's fall color and splendor. Spend time in nature before winter arrives. Help visitors enjoy crafts and hayrides. Invite visitors into craft activity, restock supplies as needed, demonstrate and help with craft.

Qualifications: Great people skills: outgoing, friendly and able to interact with guests. Not afraid to keep things organized in a positive way. Must be age 18 years or older.


There are two shifts starting Saturday and Sunday, October 13 and 14, and continuing on October 20 and 21, and October 27 and 28.

Arrival Time: First shift 10:15 am, Second 1:15 pm Event Start Time: First shift 10:30 am, Second 1:30 pm Free to Leave Time: First shift 2:00 pm, Second 5:00 pm

Mission Statement

Hagley Museum and Library collects, preserves, and interprets the unfolding history of American enterprise. Hagley is located on 235 acres by the Brandywine River in Wilmington, Delaware.

Description

Located on 235 acres along the banks of the Brandywine River in Wilmington, Delaware, Hagley is the site of the gunpowder works founded by E. I. du Pont in 1802. This example of early American industry includes restored mills, a workers' community, and the ancestral home and gardens of the du Pont family.

Hagley's library furthers the study of business and technology in America, especially the Middle Atlantic region. The collections include individuals' papers and companies' records ranging from eighteenth-century merchants to modern telecommunications and illustrate the impact of the business system on society.

The Center for the History of Business, Technology, and Society organizes and administers the Hagley Museum and Library's interaction with the world of scholarship. It brings attention to Hagley's research collections and generates intellectual dialogue at Hagley.
