Orphans in Casa Hogar

Use your non-profit or Board Director experience to help orphans in Oaxaca, Mexico. We have 11 years of success--and are expanding! Directors positions are available in areas such as Public Relations/Marketing, Technology, Fundraising, and Education. We are located in San Francisco and are shooting for the stars!

Operations/Development responsibilities:

  • Work in conjunction with the Fundraising Director on annual fundraising plan
  • Assist with development work, including donor research and outreach, entry of donor information in the foundation's database, and maintain ongoing relationships with donors
  • Oversight and ensure the outlined goals and tasks are accomplished for VIDA by each board member or volunteer
  • Create handbook for VIDA development polices and procedures
  • Research and implement the best CRM and administrative software to streamline VIDA

Ideal candidate will be well organized, has experience managing others and a passion for helping orphan children.

Providing and supporting an intensified academic and life skills program to orphans in Oaxaca, Mexico, to prepare them for higher education, and/or an or a profession.

Description

In order to break cycles of poverty and abuse among orphans, we were founded in 2001, in California. We empower orphaned boys in Oaxaca, Mexico by providing education.

For 10 years we have successfully focused our efforts on an orphanage in Oaxaca named Casa Hogar Para Ninos. At this home, approximately 14 boys live together, aged 6-14 years old, until they can complete the 6th grade. After that we fund education at local boarding schools.
