DAY AND NIGHT SHIFTS - CAT SANCTUARY HELP

Late Morning 10:00 am - 2pm and late evening 8:30pm up to 10pm shifts 7 days a week available.

The right individual(s) will be non-smoker(s), love cats and have an interest in veterinary.

A team of extraordinary individual(s) will manage the care of the senior and geriatric felines and kennel duties and assist giving medications and insulin injections.

The sanctuary currently has volunteer schedules set in place and with the beginning of the school there will be openings. People interested veterinary and pre-vet students can apply for volunteer or paid positions based on their level of experience.

A Volunteer Training Period Will Determine Compatibility and Possible Consideration Of Employment Or Volunteer Shifts.

CAT-NANNY KENNEL DUTIES:

* Canned Food Meals AM & PM and China Pet Dishes Washed AM/PM
* Litter Boxes Scooped & Changed & Detailed As Needed.

* Disinfect Surfaces

* Restock Supplies, Dispose Of Trash/Biohazard
* Pet & Play, Groom
* Clean Up Pet Messes - Cats With Treatable Conditions Sometimes Vomit and Miss The Box


VET ASSISTANT DUTIES:

* Feline Diabetic Cats Need Insulin Injection AM Late Morning & PM Late Evening

* Apply Aldera Cream To Skin Cancer Lesions

* Shave Butts, Lesion Areas, or Matts.

* Glucose Levels Checked Once A Month
* Pill Cats With Treatable Conditions (Easy Method Using Pill Wrap)

Treatable Diseases Treated:

Stomatitis, Triad Disease, Pancreatitis, Bladder Tumor, Pre-Skin Cancer Lesions, Diabetes, Inappropriate Elimination, Recovered Rhinotracheitis/Allergy Management.

PAID POSITIONS /REFERENCES & RESUME OF WORK HISTORY IS CONSIDERED

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS STUDENTS SEEKING HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE TO APPLY TO VET SCHOOL

Mission Statement

To provide veterinary medical services for homeless, or "at-risk" shelter dogs and cats; including community outreach programs, spay/ neuter, veterinary medical treatments, procedures and surgeries to facilitate the adoption these animals and to provide the financial resources necessary to support the rescuing of these animals.

Description

Community Animal Network provides veterinary medical services to rescued animals that need to find new homes and was founded in Newport Beach, California, in 1996.

C.A.N. is a community supported with donations that service the needs of shelter animals and abandoned animals that need to find new homes. Our signature community outreach program is our "Pets For Seniors" program that gives mature cats to senior people and provides the veterinary medical for the animals life-time.

Rescue animals are cared for in private homes by the "Good Samaritans" that rescued the abandoned animal, or in foster homes (when available) all lover Orange county.

Community Animal Network shows rescue animals for adoption in the caregiver's homes.
