Teens 13-17: Participate in a Psychology Study about Social Processes
The Stress and Development Lab at the University of Washington in Seattle is looking for right-handed teenagers aged 13-17 and their parents to take part in a study about life experiences and social processes in teens.
What does the study involve?
The study involves two visits. During the first visit to our lab, which takes about 2 hours, the parent and teenager will complete surveys about their life experiences. Teens will also complete social perspective taking and decision making tasks. In the second session, which takes about 2 hours, teens will complete some of the same tasks during an MRI scan.
What do I get for participating?
Teens will receive $45 for completing the first part of the study and $100 for completing the fMRI session. Parents will also receive $25 for participating in the first session. Free parking will be provided.
