The Initiative for Public Art - Reston (IPAR) is seeking volunteers to help set up two public art community engagement activities during the Lake Anne Jazz and Blues Festival. We need volunteers who will invite festival attendees to participate in the art activity, hand them paint and brushes so that they can paint two murals based on the designs of artist Dana Scheurer.

Public Art Reston seeks to inspire an ongoing commitment to public art and create a new generation of artworks in Reston.

Description

Public Art Reston works with community organizations and developers to commission permanent and temporary public art in Reston. Public Art Reston was founded in 2007 and is the first unincorporated community in the United States to have adopted a public art master plan - the "Public Art Master Plan for Reston". Public Art Reston also offers artists talks, documentary public art film screenings, community engagement activities.
