"Chalk up" some volunteer hours by helping out at the ChalkFest at Reston Town Center, presented by Public Art Reston and Reston Town Center.
Saturday, September 16, 2017 (Three-hour shifts)
Assist with one of the following:
- Set Up - 7:00 am to 7:30 am
- Registration/ hand out goodie bags - 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
- Escort participants to their square - 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
(A lot of walking - wear comfortable shoes)
- Walk around site to direct people to registration table - 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
- Invite people to vote for the People's Choice Award and answer questions - 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
- Take down - 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Public Art Reston seeks to inspire an ongoing commitment to public art and create a new generation of artworks in Reston.
Description
Public Art Reston works with community organizations and developers to commission permanent and temporary public art in Reston. Public Art Reston was founded in 2007 and is the first unincorporated community in the United States to have adopted a public art master plan - the "Public Art Master Plan for Reston". Public Art Reston also offers artists talks, documentary public art film screenings, community engagement activities.
