Please join us for the Walk Like MADD 5k in Appleton, WI, on September 19th, 2015.
WALK LIKE MADD is your chance to do something about drunk driving in our community. This year, thousands of people in over 60 cities around the nation will participate in 5k events to eliminate drunk driving from our roadways. MADD of Wisconsin will be hosting our very own Walk Like MADD event in the beautiful city of Appleton, and we are in need of volunteers on the day of the event to help with set-up, registration, our victim tribute event, and more.
You can help MADD eliminate drunk driving by signing up for a Walk Like MADD event near you as a walker, team captain for recruitment, or general day-of volunteer. You can even be involved without attending the event by signing up as a virtual walker, helping with event fundraising in your community, or making a donation to another walker or team. We would love to have you on board in whatever capacity works best!
For more information, please email Alex Mundy at wi.state@madd.org, or visit our website at www.walklikemadd .org/appleton.
We look forward to having you join our incredible team of volunteers!

Mission Statement
The mission of Mothers Against Drunk Driving is to end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support the victims of these violent crimes and prevent underage drinking.
Description
Founded by a mother whose daughter was killed by a drunk driver, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is the nation’s largest nonprofit working to protect families from drunk driving and underage drinking. With the help of those who want a safer future, MADD’s Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving will end this danger on America’s roads. MADD supports drunk and drugged driving victims and survivors, serving one person every 8 minutes at no charge. So long as drunk driving impacts our families and friends, MADD's goal is to increase the number of victims and survivors served, and to continually improve the quality of those services.
We measure success by the number of victims and survivors that take advantage of our services, whether connected with a victim advocate at the local level or receiving emotional support and guidance through our national support line. In 2012, MADD served more than 61,000 victims and survivors of drunk and drugged driving crashes. This is more than double the number of victims and survivors we served just eight years ago. To increase that number even further, we plan to reach out to diverse and underserved populations.
To achieve these goals, we will continue to spread the word about the availability of our no-cost services, continue to train new volunteers to work with victims and survivors, and continue to increase our capacity to help others through the generous support of the community.
