Join the King Conservation District for the RENTON DAY OF SERVICE at our Native Plant Nursery. Plants from our nursery support restoration efforts of non-profits, cities and other agencies throughout King County. Learn about growing native plants for stream and wetland restoration projects, while helping to perform critical nursery tasks. Activities include starting plants from seed, divisions, transplants, helping to maintain nursery stock by watering and weeeding.

Description
King Conservation District strives to:
- Teach principles of conservation to landowners and the general public
- Assist citizens and governments with the implementation of sound conservation practices
- Coordinate productive relationships between citizens and environmental regulatory agencies
- Encourage the development of comprehensive action plans and procedures that promote environmental quality
District programs and services include but not limited too:
- Stream, wetland, and estuarine enhancement
- Backyard wildlife habitat enhancement and naturescaping
- Youth and Volunteer events
- Implementation of natural resource management projects
- Bareroot plant sale and native plant nursery
