Join KCD and the Green Seattle Partnership to help restore forest habitat on Longfellow creek in West Seattle. Longfellow creek is one of only four salmon-bearing streams in Seattle. Come join our ongoing efforts to replace invasive ivy and blackberry with native trees and shrubs. Event will occur at the SW Brandon St and 29th Ave SW entrance of the Longfellow Legacy Trail in West Seattle from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m .

Description
King Conservation District strives to:
- Teach principles of conservation to landowners and the general public
- Assist citizens and governments with the implementation of sound conservation practices
- Coordinate productive relationships between citizens and environmental regulatory agencies
- Encourage the development of comprehensive action plans and procedures that promote environmental quality
District programs and services include but not limited too:
- Stream, wetland, and estuarine enhancement
- Backyard wildlife habitat enhancement and naturescaping
- Youth and Volunteer events
- Implementation of natural resource management projects
- Bareroot plant sale and native plant nursery
