ORGANIZATION: New Horizons Shelter & Outreach Centers

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

We are in search of volunteers to walk with our Clydesdale horse & buggy in the Maple Leaf Parade!

New Horizons t-shirts will be available to purchase.

The Maple Leaf Parade is one of the largest and most well-attended parades in the Midwest. It is the first major function attended by the new Festmaster following his introduction the night before at the Festmaster Ball.

The parade begins at the corner of Clinton and Rose streets. It heads south on Rose, continuing on to the Causeway, then bearing right just past the La Crosse River Bridge and down past the Southside Grounds. The parade continues south on 2nd Street, concluding at Jay Street.

The parade begins at 10am and the first units do not arrive at the end until approximately 11:30am. Expect the parade to take three hours to pass any given point along the route.
