The First Book National Book Bank travels all over the country, from tiny towns in rural communities to big cities on the west coast. This December we'll be in Tucson, AZ and we're looking for volunteers. Come help us distribute about 500,000 new books to programs serving children across the country!
Much of the help needed is physical labor, such as lifting, carrying and sorting boxes of books. Box weights range from 10 to 30 pounds. Volunteers will be on their feet for their entire shift. Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes and we encourage comfortable clothing that can get dirty. It's smart to dress in layers - temperatures are unpredictable in the warehouse.

You are welcome to join us for one shift or a full day. First Book will provide snacks and water to all volunteers, and lunch for all volunteers serving the full day. We are seeking about 20 volunteers per shift. Bring your friends, family and co-workers! Any volunteer under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian with them while they volunteer.
