Are you an artist? Do you enjoy taking on crafting projects? Share your love of art with our kids by volunteering your art skills with Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Indiana! If you're creative and want to lead children in arts and crafts activities, this is the perfect opportunity for you. You can develop and lead a project for the youth, assist our staff with the projects they already have planned, or simply just pass out the materials. However involved you wish to be, you will get a fun experience and create bonds with our amazing kids!

Volunteers are expected to come in for 2-3 hours a week and must be able to pass a background check before working with us. For any questions or for more information, please contact our volunteer coordinator Brad Matthews by phone at 219-881-1060, ext. 412, or through email at volunteer@bgcnwi.org

Mission Statement

Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Indiana inspires and empowers all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Description

Every child deserves the opportunity to be successful. At Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Indiana (BGCNWI), our mission is to inspire and empower all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. Currently operating six Clubs in Lake County, BGCNWI has been offering hope and opportunity to local youth since 1954 by providing a safe place for kids to learn and grow through life enhancing after-school and summer programming in five core areas: character & leadership development; educational & career development; health & life skills; the arts; and sports & fitness. With the support of highly trained professional staff and adult mentors, BGCNWI helps build great futures by offering fun, engaging and impactful programs to nearly 10,000 youth ages 6 to 18. When schools are out, Clubs are in!
