Vision Literacy seeks motivated individuals for its fundraising efforts. You will help outreach to donors, maintain donor relationship information, help with fundraising mailers and events. If you are passionate about social change, come join us!
Responsibilities:
Engaging new donors to ensure their long term support.
Organizing fundraising events with emphasis on breaking into new markets and building new relationships.
Researching various organisations for possible tie-ups.
Co-ordinating with the social media interns to get the word out about various fundraising initiatives on the social media platforms.
Developing exceptional communication skills and leadership qualities to reach donors more effectively.
Qualifications:
Great communicators, leaders, and activists.
Disciplined and creative thinkers.
Previous internship or related experience in fundraising is a plus.
Compensation:
This is an unpaid internship. We encourage you to use this internship to gain hands-on experience in the nonprofit sector.

Vision Literacy is an award-winning nonprofit organization, dedicated to providing free, high-quality classes to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) and life skills to adults. By leveraging the unique resources of Silicon Valley, we empower adults and their families to succeed and thrive. In addition to raising their literacy skills, we encourage learners to pursue personal goals -- from engaging in their children’s education and helping with homework, to finding employment, starting a business, or becoming a citizen. We are located in Santa Clara County, California.
