The 2015 Ford Arts, Beats & Eats, presented by Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort, will again present a memorable festival with something for everyone and numerous community benefits, including an average of $325,000 donated per year to local non-profits from the festival and affiliated events.

Located for our sixth year in beautiful downtown Royal Oak, we plan to create another year of spectacular food, music and art, showcasing the very best of Oakland County! Thank you for sharing your valuable time, energy, and enthusiasm by spending part of your Labor Day Weekend with us. It is the passion and dedication of volunteers like you that make this event a success year after year!

Please review the volunteer positions available and then check off the position, dates and times that you can volunteer. Please fill out the Registration Form and follow the instructions. We would be grateful if you were able to do at least 2 shifts, but are thankful for what you can give.

Mission Statement

Experience winter in Detroit like never before at Meridian Winter Blast. Meridian Winter Blast returns February 6 th, 7 th, and 8 th to Campus Martius Park in Downtown Detroit! Meridian Winter Blast features winter activities, live entertainment, and delicious local restaurants for the whole family to enjoy. We are thrilled to have Meridian Health Plan as our title sponsor for the second year!

Winter Blast is teaming up with Matrix Human Services to donate to those in need this winter. There is a charge to enter Motown Winter Blast this year, but the cost will be a donation to Matrix Human Services.. Entrants can donate the following to gain admission at one of five entrances:

  • Three canned food items
  • One children's book
  • or $2 that will be donated directly to Matrix Human Services to help those in need

Description

Some of the great winter festivities include the Meridian Health Plan Snow Slide; Meridian Health Plan sponsored Snow Shoeing, FREE Ice Skating on Campus Martius rink sponsored by St. John Providence Health System, Flagstar Bank Ice Garden, Marshmallow roasting courtesy of MetroPCS, Professional Skating Demonstrations presented by W.H. Canon, and many more!

Detroit’s music scene will be on display on two stages, with more than 50 entertainment acts performing! Hop inside the Taste of Detroit food and vendor tent to sample delicious Metro Detroit restaurants and shop from local stores and artisans. Meridian Winter Blast will also feature a special Kid Zone! Throughout that event there will be several Comfort Stations where guests can warm up!

Meridian Winter Blast has an exciting history here in Detroit. In January 2005 Winter Blast, formerly known as Motown Winter Blast, kicked off as the official countdown to Super Bowl XL in Detroit. Winter Blast attracted more than one million people to Detroit during the Super Bowl! For the past 10 years Winter Blast continued to attract Metro-Detroiters to the exciting revitalized Downtown Detroit area!
