We are pleased to announce our date for the 25th Annual Floyd Central Marching Band Invitational, September 26, 2015!
Floyd Central High School Ron Weglieb Stadium is one of the newest high school stadiums in the state with over 3,600 seats. This event is the largest fund raiser for the year and produces 80% of our operating budget.
The first twenty four events have had great attendance with over 3,300 people on our campus each year. We anticipate the 2015 Floyd Central Invitational will quickly grow to feature up to 20 bands from Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois and other surrounding states. The contest will feature the ISSMA Judging system, a world class judging panel, and an 8th evaluator/clinician who will provide immediate feedback to your program in a 12-minute clinic following your performance. These clinics have received high marks from past participants. Additionally we will offer a student leadership workshop for all attendee’s during the afternoon prior to the start of the competition.
We recognize this is an early season show and rehearsal time for all of the groups is at a premium. Additionally, if you are local volunteers are a key to its success, this show will be an afternoon/evening show.
