Families to Freedom expects to begin operations this fall so we are recruiting volunteers now to be up to speed for our opening!

Families to Freedom is seeking volunteers who possess good listening skills, the ability to comfort people in crisis, and maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor. You will be providing travel arrangements to volunteer drivers and pilots including required paperwork and other items needed for travel. You will be soliciting for and scheduling all volunteers for shifts as needed. You will also be tracking vehicles and planes to their destinations and will close out files when destinations are reached. You will be working in a group oriented environment so you must be able to work well with other volunteers and at times with little or no supervision. While tracking client transportation, volunteers will: build upon the existing organization’s resources; assist with developing operational training and corresponding curricula; and, assist wherever our greatest need is at the moment. Volunteer coordinators must be amenable to continued staff development and cross-training opportunities.

This position requires a background check before being considered.

Primary Job Duties Include:

Research and make arrangement for client travel needs during the assigned shifts.

• Review the transportation needs of the client and volunteer drivers
• Greet volunteer drivers arriving for duty and deliver a brief orientation
• Provide travel needs including paperwork, packing travel bags and providing other travel conveniences
• Track driver and pilots in-route to their destinations
• Provide assistance to traveling volunteer drivers if the need arises
• Manage inventory for travel items and office needs

Hours of Operation

Monday-Friday: 8am-5pm
