The Community Resource Center's (CRC) hosts literacy events quarterly and needs assistance with set up, creative ideas to entertain the youth, interaction with the youth and their parents, and clean up.
Early Childhood Support Services (ECSS) support families with children ages birth to five in the areas of child care, child development, special needs and parenting support through an array of services such as workshops, professional development, home visits, screening, and assessment. The ECSS department focuses on the strengths and needs of very young children and the important adults in their lives.

Description
The Guidance Center (formerly Downriver Guidance Clinic) is an innovative leader in providing quality behavioral health, substance abuse, and community outreach services to children, adults, and families. The private, nonprofit agency is at the forefront of creating new prevention and educational models to help children and families deal with mental health and substance abuse issues and has a history of responding to the ever-changing needs of the people of Downriver and metropolitan Detroit communities.
