Planting the Future

Do you want to be part of creating a new normal where lawns are a thing of the past, water is treasured, and school campuses are edible oases? We're transforming a thirsty lawn at the SRJC Petaluma campus into a Food Forest that provides food for students and food for thought! Join Daily Acts to plant a gorgeous, water-wise array of fruit trees and shrubs, pollinator flowers, and culturally important native plants. If you're looking for inspiration for your own garden, want to meet like minded folks, or just want to leave your mark on this inspiring educational project, come on out and garden with us! For a free parking pass, signup at www.dailyacts.org .

About Daily Acts

Location:

245 Kentucky St, Petaluma, CA 94952, US

Mission Statement

Through creating media, initiating and sharing sustainability models, cultivating community networks and providing hands-on education, we empower citizens, strengthen leaders and grow community self-reliance.

Description

Daily Acts fulfills a critical role in promoting positive examples to inspire vision, hope and action. Our work is grounded in the principle that simple, mindful choices significantly enrich our lives and world. Citizens and leaders easily become overwhelmed by the diversity and scale of our ecological and social crises. By highlighting amazing people and efforts that demonstrate sustainability, we share the powerful relationships, skills and tools needed for healthy lives and a resilient world. We support sustainability pioneers, empower emerging leaders to share their stories and enable engaged citizens to make bold change for care of self, community, and planet.
