Come out and support BLINDSTART as we paddle to victory this Dragon-Boating season! As a volunteer, you will be assistaing the blind and visually impaired by guiding them in/out of the boats. Mission Statement
Blind Start of America is an award winning 501(c)3 non-profit organization, who's passion is bringing together sighted and visually impaired people through exciting athletic and social events like Dragon Boat Racing and the Blind Mud Run. Our mission is to provide scholarships for blind and visually impaired persons (VIPs) to develop job skills to enable them to ultimately lead lives of independence. These scholarships provide education, training, communication, transportation, adaptive equipment and technology.
Description
We raise awareness and money for visually impaired individuals. We do this by participating in marathons, dragon boat races, and mud runs.
