Camp Kindness Counts is truly a unique non profit teaching the value of kindness and generosity to children. We have been running summer camps and afterschool programs for the last several years and have interest to spread our programs to more schools.

We are looking for an energetic and passionate individual who loves working with kids and wants to make an impact in both their and the lives of children. Teaching experience not necessary as training is provided but definately a plus.

About Camp Kindness Counts

Location:

2209 185TH PL NE, REDMOND, WA 98052, US

Mission Statement

The vision of our program is to empower, inspire and teach youth how they can create a positive impact around them with their acts of kindness. To create a future generation of kind, mindful, intelligent leaders is important. It is also an optimal window of opportunity to build on children’s natural skills of empathy during their impressionable years. Through our research we have found when children are given the opportunity to connect with kindness "face to face", experiencing the results of their actions first hand is when learning becomes impactful, empowering and inspiring.

Description

We begin with our basic skill of empathy, which is introduced at home and fostered where kids spend most of their day, in school. By learning from each other and working together, kids slowly transition and expand learning and actively connecting with kindness outside of their comfort zone. Kids will gain a whole picture perspective of how one simple act of kindness can make a positive impact around them and become aware of how they can be the positive change around them!
