The Collaborative for High Performance Schools, also known as CHPS, is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to making every school an ideal place to learn. CHPS works with schools, architectural teams other school stakeholders to develop and implement standards for healthy, high performance K-12 educational facilities across the country. Duties: Performs a variety of skilled administrative and clerical duties directly related to membership activities to develop effective working relationships with members to nurture their connection to the organization. These include:

• maintaining databases,
• Assisting with invoicing
• preparing routine correspondence,
• developing/sending mass mailings,
• assisting and participating in special events for members

Required:

• Basic Internet and computer skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel, and google spreadsheet
• Good organizational skills
• Keen analytical skills
• Ability to work independently, in a team setting and to take direction
• Available at least once a week for four hours (there is a potential to work remotely)
• Highly motivated

Desirable:

• Understanding of html and other web development tools is a plus
• Interested in green building and educational facility standards
• Knowledge of CiviCRM or other Constituent Relation Management system
• Knowledge of BaseCamp

These volunteer opportunities are ideal for someone with project management experience and a few free hours to share or someone who would love to gain practical experience.
