Harvest Festival - Volunteers

Volunteers are needed to support the First Annual Harvest Festival at Martial Cottle Park! The event will include farm tours, pumpkin carving and carnival activities, historical ranch activities, a costume contest, food vendors, live music, a corn maze, farm stand, square dancing, face painting, a petting zoo and much more!

There are many special event volunteer positions to choose from including set up, tear down, activity stations and more. Each are integral to the success of the festival! Please let us know your top three (3) choices when you register. Some positions have special requirements or preferences (ex: ability to lift 50 lbs.) Volunteers will receive a confirmation with their placement once they are registered and an event reminder prior to the Harvest Festival.

All volunteers should bring a water bottle, sunscreen and hat. Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt. Snacks for volunteers will be available, but please bring a lunch or money to purchase lunch from the food vendors.

Please note: Harvest Festival volunteers must be 16 years of age or older. Volunteers age 16-17 must have a parent or legal guardian sign a volunteer waiver before they can participate.

Farm Tours

10:00 am - 3:30 pm

Assist farmers by keeping tour group together, asking visitors to not pick produce or walk on the beds

Corn Maze

9:30 am - 63:00 pm

Monitor corn maze, volunteers will be staged throughout to keep participants safe

Assist with line control and maze traffic

Watermelon Eating Contest

Monitor pumpkin patch, materials for carving/decorating, ensure visitors write their name on pumpkins (6 volunteers)

Run the pumpkin relay race, monitor for safety and for race rules, keep time (3 volunteers)

Monitor pumpkin bowling, reset pins (2 volunteers)

Monitor and explain "Guess the size of the pumpkin" activity (1 volunteer)
