If you enjoy working with other "Fashion Minded Volunteers", then ScholarShop might be the right place for you! ScholarShop offers upscale mens's, women's and childrens's apparel, designer merchandise, jewery and accessories, and home decor. Opportunities include accepting donations, assisting customers on the sales floor and register, showing merchandise, and maintaining fitting rooms, visual displays and sales floor.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and successfully complete an application, interview, criminal background check, and training. After completing 3 months, volunteers qualify for a 20% discount on all purchases as long as they volunteer a minimum of A) 3 hours per week; or B) at least two 5 hour Saturday shifts per month.

Proceeds from ScholarShop sales benefit The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis and support local college students with interest-free educational loans. In 2014, $4 million was awarded in loans and grants to over 590 students pursuing a 2-yr, 4- yr, technical and graduate degrees.

The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis, a nonprofit organization founded in 1920, is based upon the conviction that an educated citizenry is essential to a democracy. The Scholarship Foundation provides access to post-secondary education to members of our community who otherwise would not have the financial means to fulfill their educational goals.
Description
Since 1920 The Scholarship Foundation has loaned approximately $23 million to over 17,000 area students. Loan recipients are selected on the basis of financial need, satisfactory academic progress and good character. ScholarShop, an upscale resale shop, is a fundraising effort of The Scholarship Foundation. As a volunteer you are an intricate part of the operation. To our customers you are ScholarShop; to our students, your work is a source of funding; and, to the board you are a valuable asset. Your time and commitment will help students pursue their dreams.
