Currently we have a peer support group that we conduct the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month in Oceanside. Our facilitator is moving out of state and we need someone to take over the group. It's peer support so really you need knowledge about the illness but the group kind of leads itself. You do NOT need to be a therapist but knowldge of mental illness is required.

*To provide free referrals to perinatal mood and anxiety disorder service providers for the residents of north county San Diego.
*To increase awareness of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders in north county San Diego.Description
The Postpartum Adjustment Support Society serves women and family members with Postpartum Depression in the North County San Diego area.
One in eight moms suffer with a postpartum mood and anxiety disorder, commonly known as Postpartum Depression, in the first year after childbirth. The figure could be even higher if you consider that not all women report their illness out of shame or embarrassment. We like to let the women who come to us for help know: "There is help for you. You are not all alone out there. This is not your fault. This is a common illness and with treatment you will be well again."
