ORGANIZATION: Redmond Historical Society

As the Chair the Redmond Historical Society Governance Committee you would be working with the Board and Committee Chairs to maintain the Society Operating Procedures and Continue building the Organizational effectiveness by helping to qualify under new levels of the StEPs self-assessment program from the American Association of State and Local History.

The Society is just concluding a bylaws revision project. Assist the Board in implementing a new organization structure.

The Governance Committee also facilitates Long Range Planning.

The Committee reports directly to the Society Secretary, a key Officer on the Board.

Ideal for a person with solid non-profit board or staff experience, well developed interpersonal skills, well organized, and good verbal and written communication skills.
