PLACEMENT PURPOSE
The Holiday Mail for Heroes (HMFH) program enables Americans to Give Something That Means Something throughout the holiday season. The program invites the public to send cards of thanks, encouragement and holiday cheer to members of our U.S. Armed Forces, veterans and military families, many of whom will be far away from home this holiday season. In conjunction with the SAF Assistant Station Manager, assist in the planning and execution phases of the HMFH program. This includes military partner outreach, volunteer engagement and management as well as logistics.
OPEN TIME DAYS
August 1 st - December 7 th: 2-4 hours per week
December 7 th- December 20 th: 5 hours per week
December 20 th - January 15 th: As needed, to account for any last-minute requests and manage late card deliveries to our office.REQUIRED TRAININGOn-site program training
